Communities
Kansas City has a little bit of everything when it comes to communities. For a fast, urban type of living, the downtown and Country Club Plaza areas offer a retro-type environment, appealing to the younger generations. This area thrives on its metropolitan sophistication, but small-town friendliness is ever present around every corner.
Outside of downtown are many different communities to choose from. Head ‘north of the river’ to North Kansas City where towns like Gladstone and Riverside have been growing into close-know family oriented communities, complete with parks, community centers and schools that draw its residents together.
Go a little beyond the city borders and fine many surrounding communities just a short drive away. On the Kansas side are the cities of Atchison and Weston. Both feature quaint downtown areas and a rich cultural history. To the north is the city of Saint Joseph, of Pony Express fame and Liberty, a small town grown large enough to mesh with the big city. To the south is Olathe and Overland Park which offer excellent business networking opportunities and new and established neighborhoods.
